Who am I & why do I care?

When our biological boys started getting bigger, we decided to add to the family.

After a missions trip to Bulgaria, we settled in our hearts that that was where we would adopt a sibling group.

Two years after the trip, we brought three more people into our fold. All together, we had 14, 13, 12, 11, 10 & 10 (suddenly “Irish” twins).

Even before we left Europe, the “honeymoon” period was gone. The children became violent and aggressive. We thought it was out of fear of the adoption.

Reactive Attachment Disorder in all three was now a part of our vocabulary as well as our “New Normal”. But nobody believed us.

So much life has happened and I am a different person but God is still God and He is always faithful. I have learned much and don’t want any mom to feel as isolated and judged as I did/do. I want them to know there are others in her corner.
